About Marcus Cai

I studied psychology and got into design by building and tinkering with websites in the early days.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked on search at Roblox, business messaging at Meta, and developer experiences at Oculus. Currently, I’m at Zillow, helping buyers discover and shop for newly built homes and shaping the design foundations of the home details experience.

I enjoy solving the most ambiguous problems, and lately I’ve been using AI to build and test ideas faster while keeping the care and judgment that go into each design decision.

I still make music when I can. Outside of work, I’m usually with my family, exploring new places or taking it slow.
